Help with Pinzen
Practical help for installing the app, pairing autofill, recovering access, and reporting a problem safely.

On Android, open Pinzen in Chrome and use the in-app Install button or the browser's Install app command. On iPhone or iPad, open Pinzen in Safari, choose Share, then Add to Home Screen. The installed PWA uses the same private vault as the website.
Pair the browser extension
Install the official Pinzen extension, open it, and set up its passkey lock. Choose Pair with Pinzen, then approve from an unlocked vault at pinzen.app. Only supported logins, cards, and identity details are added to the extension; PINs, notes, attachments, and sign-in codes stay in the app.
Autofill and save prompts
Open the extension on an HTTPS website and choose a matching login, card, or identity. Pinzen fills only after your click and never submits the form. To enable save prompts, approve access for that individual site from the extension. You can turn the site permission off from the same control or your browser's extension settings.
Open Pinzen on this device
A browser you previously trusted reopens after sign-in without asking for the master phrase or Recovery Kit again. If you deliberately locked it or its reveal window expired, approve the quick unlock with a passkey, hardware key, or current authenticator code.
Connect a new device
With Pinzen+, sign in on the new device and choose approval from a trusted device. Enter its short code on an already trusted phone or computer, approve with a passkey or authenticator, then enter only the master phrase on the new device. The Account Secret is encrypted directly to the new device and is not uploaded in readable form. Free connects one device at a time and lets you move that connection after authenticator approval. Your Recovery Kit remains the offline option on any plan.
Recover access
If you forgot the phrase, choose “Use Recovery Kit,” select the matching file, enter the current six-digit code from your authenticator, and create a new phrase. One-time codes printed inside the Kit cannot approve that phrase reset. A trusted device can also reset the phrase. Google users may enable an email fallback in Settings before losing access. Support cannot recreate a lost Kit, authenticator, or readable vault.
Delete your account
Open Settings, then Devices, sessions & account, and choose Delete account. This permanently removes the account, sessions, shares, and vault data stored by Pinzen. Remove the extension and downloaded backup files separately if you also want local copies erased.
Response-time promise
We aim to reply to product and privacy requests within two business days and acknowledge responsible security reports within one business day. Complex investigations may take longer, but we will keep the reporter updated. These are service targets rather than a guarantee of immediate resolution.
